In autumn, the humidity of the Geneva Lake often produces clouds of mist which settle in the whole valley. Most of the time, these conditions result in a thick layer of stratus rising up to about a 1000m in altitude, plunging the valley in a depressing dullness. But that particular morning only a very thin layer had formed right over the lake. As soon as the sun rose behind the mountains, the whole mist disappeared within minutes. The town in the foreground is Vevey, most famous for being host of the headquarters of the world biggest food manufacturer, i.e. Nestlé.
